Mike,
Hi, this is referring to a CEO participating actively on social media from a business perspective. Having a companies CEO actively engage on social networks sharing business updates, industry insights, as well as professional opinions can dramatically improve the companies perception and brand reputation with employees, consumers, and professionals. Smart move to encourage your President to participate in your company's social media activities. His involvement could help increase engagement with customers as well as grow brand following. I'd even recommend seeing if he would be willing to take part in a weekly 30-minute Twitter chat in which he could discuss various topics, share insights, and answer questions. Thanks for commenting and contributing Mike!

Is this referring to personal use or actually engaging on behalf of the company?

I work for a B2B company, and I encouraged our President to provide articles to our SM team that he found useful. He is respected in our industry for running a successful business and I am hoping this will help increase engagement with our customers. He won't actually post the links, but that doesn't really matter.

Thanks for the kudos and your suggestions are great for getting the most out of your paper.li.

You are right about product and business promotion. Paper.li started as a platform for people to organize and visualize their own tweets and links. We are now seeing more and more groups, business, brands, and organizations using us as a collaborative content aggregation tool.

We are finding as a whole, individuals and organizations alike have been really positive about the increased traffic to their blog and are finding more and more ways to be creative with the service. The semantic analysis of shared content and it's ranking is helping curators of papers filter noise and bring to the table already filtered , and more focused, content.

In the near future we will roll out new tools and features that will allow more editorial control for curators and more visibility over their readership. It is going to really exciting.

We really enjoy hearing from our users - drop us a line with any additional questions, suggestions, comments you might have. info(at)smallrivers(dot)com

Thanks for the great read!
